Disgraced Hip Hop Singer R. Kelly Who Is Accused Of Sex Crimes Gets Major BEATDOWN By Inmate In Prison

Disgraced R&B/Hip Hop singer R.Kelly has been in custody in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown Chicago since he was indicted on federal child pornography, obstruction of justice and racketeering charges.

Kelly was reportedly attacked by another inmate while in his jail cell.

Federal law enforcement sources with direct knowledge told TMZ the incident recently went down inside the MCC in Chicago where Kelly was sitting on his bed when another inmate walked in his cell and started punching the crap out of Kelly.

Our sources say the inmate went on the attack because he was angry about the detention facility being placed on lock down a couple of times largely due to Kelly protesters outside the jail.

We’re told the fight didn’t last long, and it’s unclear if another inmate or guards broke it up. Our sources say Kelly was examined by a doctor, who determined the singer was okay … no broken bones or serious injuries.

Kelly’s attorney, Steven Greenberg, said in a statement to Fox News: “Yesterday we were told that an inmate had attacked R Kelly at the MCC in Chicago. We received conflicting reports as to the extent of his injuries. We have not been provided any information from the jail, nor has Mr. Kelly called. We are hopeful that he was not seriously injured.”

“Regardless, it is time to release Mr. Kelly,” Greenberg’s demanded. “The government cannot ensure his safety, and they cannot give him his day in court. We should not incarcerate people indefinitely because we cannot provide them with due process.”

Earlier this year, the R&B singer had requested to be released from jail in Chicago over concerns he would contract coronavirus behind bars, NBC New York reports. A federal judge in New York denied that request.

“The defendant is currently in custody because of the risks that he will flee or attempt to obstruct, threaten or intimidate prospective witnesses,” U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly of Brooklyn wrote in her denial. “The defendant has not explained how those risks have changed.”

They call that prison justice.

He got off easy… This time.
