NBC’s Craig Melvin took to Twitter to say their reporting would be guided by calling the chaos and mayhem in Minneapolis a “protest” and not a riot.
NBC reporters marched in lockstep with the orders. Jonathan Turley tweeted out about the “guide” on calling the riot in Minneapolis a “riot” by saying, “viewers can understand a complex and multifaceted story.”
NBC Today anchor and MSNBC host Craig Melvin tweeted:
This will guide our reporting in MN. “While the situation on the ground in Minneapolis is fluid, and there has been violence, it is most accurate at this time to describe what is happening there as "protests"–not riots.”

Next up was the MSNBC reporter Ali Velshi stood in front of a burning building and said: “This is mostly a protest. It is not generally speaking unruly.”
So…looting, setting fires, destroying businesses, and overtaking government buildings are considered peaceful protests?
Before that, he literally talked about four fires burning around him that he could see. pic.twitter.com/Jo9a4VnBsX

The biased media tried to control the narrative but as Turley said, people can understand the story:
Watching MSNBC try to explain this situation is incredible:
