Tone deaf and clueless: As Americans line up at food banks, Pelosi shows off her kitchen and gourmet ice cream
Shame on CBS and Cordon for giving this disgraceful woman a platform…

You may never see a better example of why there should be congressional term limits than this one.
Wednesday evening House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) appeared on CBS’s “Late Late Show with James Cordon” to show off some delicacies that she says helps her ‘keep up her spirits during these trying times’ of ‘muh coronavirus’:

This gaudy, shameless, tone-deaf, clueless escapade comes after Pelosi has held up new funding for small businesses for more than a week, while the federal loan program financed via the $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief bill runs out of money, leaving hundreds of thousands of businesses to fail.
Pelosi, who is one of the wealthiest members of Congress, held Americans hostage by delaying the first Coronavirus stimulus package.
Millions of Americans are now unemployed and standing in line at food banks because Pelosi wasted time trying to ram illegal ballot harvesting, federal funding for abortion and climate change-related provisions in the Coronavirus bill.
Now Pelosi is shoving it in our faces by showing off her pair of refrigerators that cost $24,000 and her Jeni’s gourmet ice cream collection.
Just one pint of Jeni’s gourmet ice cream costs $12.00.
Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Americans are now reliant largely on government checks and food banks to get by, thanks to being thrown out of work by governors and mayors, many of whom overreacted to the coronavirus pandemic.
Mother Jones has published a montage of photos showing lines of hundreds and thousands at food banks.
“We’re looking at an increase of 17.1 million people over the course of the next six months,” Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America, one of the country’s largest hunger-relief organizations, told NBC News.
She highlighted a 98 percent increase in demand for free food and Feeding America, expects to lose $1.4 billion trying to survive.
Mother Jones adds:
In San Antonio, ten thousand cars waited at a food distribution point run by the San Antonio Food Bank. CEO Eric Cooper told NBC’s Hoda Kotb on the Today Show that the bank typically feeds about 60,000 people a week—it’s now about 120,000 people a week.
According to the Guardian, the number of people lining up in Phoenix, Arizona has tripled. Across southern Arizona, it doubled. In Las Vegas, where demand is up by 30 percent, one of the largest food pantries has shuttered 170 out of 180 locations. In Massachusetts, food pantries increased distribution by 849 percent.
But hey, at least these newly unemployed, hungry Americans can rest easier knowing that Pelosi is stocked with gourmet chocolates and that her freezer is filled fancy ice cream and gelato.
And by the way, shame on CBS and Cordon for giving this disgraceful woman a platform.
