Trump blasts ‘bad senator’ Cryin’ Chuck Schumer in response to Dem’s call for ‘military leader’ to take over virus response
Schumer should know that you can’t out-troll the master…

(TNS) For decades, especially as he gained status as a successful billionaire real estate developer, Donald Trump co-mingled and dealt with New York Democrats as a means of navigating political waters.
No doubt he even thought some of them were his friends.
Turns out he’s learned they’re not and probably never were, chief among them Chuck Schumer, who has made his living feeding at the public taxpayer trough while Trump built a multi-billion dollar business empire.
Sen. Schmuck has been a huge thorn in the president’s side since before he took office. Recall that Schumer was the guy who inadvertently tipped off Trump to the savage nature of the Deep State by warning him not to cross the Intelligence Community.
In any event, the latest example of Schumer playing his role of opposing the president at all times, and for any reason, the New York Democrat demanded that Trump appoint a “military commander” to oversee the coronavirus response.
But as usual, Sen. Schmuck is light on details and long on mouth: Trump had already done so.
In a two-page letter that came in response to one sent by the Senate Minority Leader in which he made his demand, President Trump pulled no punches.
As reported by The Hill:
President Trump lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Thursday, accusing him of “incorrect sound bites” on the administration’s coronavirus relief efforts in the latest war of words between the two New Yorkers.
Trump, in a two-page letter released by the White House, called the Democratic leader a “bad” senator and argued that he could lose a primary against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
“Thank you for your Democrat public relations letter and incorrect sound bites, which are wrong in every way,” Trump wrote in the opening of the letter, before going on to discuss the administration’s efforts on the coronavirus.
Trump’s letter comes after Schumer sent a letter on Thursday morning urging the president to choose a military officer to serve as a czar to oversee the production and disbursement of medical equipment and supplies, amid reports from states and hospitals that they are under-equipped for the growing number of coronavirus cases.
“The existing federal leadership void has left America with an ugly spectacle in which States and cities are literally fending for themselves, often in conflict and competition with each other, when trying to procure precious medical supplies and equipment,” Schumer wrote.
Like we said, Sen. Schmuck.
His broadside wasn’t against the president so much as it was an inappropriate slap at Vice President Mike Pence, whom the president appointed to lead the coronavirus task force, and U.S. Navy Rear Adm. John Polowczyk, who is leading FEMA’s supply chain task force.
The president then blasted Schumer and Democrats in general for wasting so much time trying to impeach him when Congress should have been focused instead on the emerging coronavirus threat.
“If you spent less time on your ridiculous impeachment hoax, which went haplessly on forever and ended up going nowhere (except increasing my poll numbers) and instead focused on helping the people of New York, then New York would not have been so completely unprepared for the ‘invisible enemy.’ No wonder AOC and others are thinking about running against you in the primary. If they did, they would likely win,” Trump wrote.
“I’ve known you for many years, but I never knew how bad a senator you are for the state of New York until I became president,” he wrote.
Ouch. But often, the truth stings.
