Biden Makes Another Insane Gaffe Questioning His Sanity, Claims He Was A Professor Right Before He Became Vice President

Biden misstates claim about becoming ‘a professor’ after leaving U.S. Senate

Presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden misspoke during a rambling eight-minute update from his home in Delaware Thursday, claiming he became a university professor after leaving the U.S. Senate.

In fact, when Biden left the upper chamber in 2009, he did so to serve as Barack Obama’s vice president.

Biden claimed to be an Ivy League professor in a meandering answer to a question from an 18-year-old on what he was doing to appeal to young voters who may favor Sen. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“There’s a lot we can do. When I left the United States Senate, I became a professor at the University of Pennsylvania,” he said in a bid to show how he can appeal to younger voters.

He also mentioned a school at the University of Delaware that bears his name, saying, “I’ve spent a lot of time on campus with college students.”

In reality, Biden was given an honorary-professor position one week after he left the vice president’s office in 2017.

He was neither supposed to nor did he ever teach a class, according to his own spokesperson and multiple Philadelphia media accounts, The Washington Times reported.

This week was not the first time Biden has claimed he was a professor. He told supporters at a South Carolina campaign event earlier this year he “became a teacher, became a professor” rather than working on Wall Street.

Biden was present on the University of Pennsylvania campus four times to make speeches in 2017 and again in 2018. He was paid $776,527, which amounted to nearly double the average salary of the professors on campus at the time, according to PhillyMag.
