I think we all know that there is nothing that Trump can do, short of committing suicide, that will stop the Democrats from their desperate and endless attempts to overturn the results of the 2016 election.
As soon as their previous coup failed (impeachment 1.0) and Trump promptly fired Vindman and his twin brother from their jobs at the bloated NSC, we knew we would soon be writing this article.
I guess the Dems are gluttons for punishment seeing as Trump’s approval rating has only increased since their impeachment Hail Mary crashed and burned on the floor of the Senate.
I had expected it to be Adam, Jerry or Nancy who were the ones to demand a new investigation into Trump, but apparently all their credibility is burned.
Now it is Chuck Schumer who is chumming the waters for the next foolish move the Dems seem to be planning on making…
The Gateway Pundit is reporting:
‘Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) sent a letter to 74 inspectors general demanding “immediate action to investigate” Trump for ‘instances of retaliation’ against so-called whistleblowers.
Schumer cited Trump’s decision to fire Vindman after he testified in the House impeachment hearing in his letter to the inspectors general.
Army Lt. Col Alexander Vindman and his twin were escorted off the White House grounds and dismissed from the National Security Council Friday afternoon.
“These attacks are part of a dangerous, growing pattern of retaliation against those who report wrongdoing only to find themselves targeted by the President and subject to his wrath and vindictiveness,” Schumer wrote.
“Because your work and the work of Congress depends on the willingness of insiders to report wrongdoing, you have a critical role in ensuring that any whistleblowers within your agency do not suffer adverse consequences for coming forward and telling the truth.”
Schumer also blasted Trump’s “attempts to publicly identify the anonymous whistleblower who used the proper legal channels to initially report the President’s attempts to compromise our national security for his personal benefit.”’
There is a fine line we are walking here, and it is why questions about **** ********** and Sean Misko, and allegations about their illicit plot to depose Trump long before the call with Zelensky was so important.
Yes, whistleblowers need to be protected. However, we can not allow the whistleblower system to be hijacked by partisan coup perpetrators. I am not quite sure what the solution is, but it is something we need to keep and eye on.
