Nadler just tanked Democrats’ entire impeachment case against Trump with this Nixonian reference
If you’re going to charge the president, don’t you have to know he’s committed crimes?
By Tank Murdoch
(TNS) If the Garbage Party is good at one thing, it’s overplaying their political hands. They’ve done it time and time again when it comes to their effort to overturn the 2016 election results and remove President Trump from office.
House Judiciary Committee chair and impeachment co-manager Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) just did it again on Thursday, inadvertently tanking Democrats’ case against the president.
We’ll explain.
One of the most famous quotes from the near-impeachment of President Richard Nixon came in the form of a question posed by a senator from his own party. As the Watergate scandal continued to unfold, Sen. Howard Baker, R-Tenn., asked, “What did the President know, and when did he know it?”
At that point, what Nixon knew about the scandal and at what point he became aware that political operatives had broken into the Democratic National Committee’s Watergate Hotel offices were unknown factors because he had not been asked and no one from his inner circle had been deposed.
That would have come at some point if Nixon had not elected to resign ahead of an expected impeachment and probably removal from office.

But Nadler’s Democrats had an impeachment inquiry. They brought in the witnesses they wanted, held hearings mostly in private, and conducted the inquiry in a manner they prescribed and controlled.
So why would Nadler utter Baker’s famous line at the end of his own impeachment presentation?
Nadler wraps up his short presentation on Trump & Ukraine by channeling the famous Watergate quote of Sen Howard Baker R-TN.

Shouldn’t Democrats know what President Trump knew and when? After all, you don’t go to court, per se, without having answers to questions of guilt, right?
Unless you’re Nadler, apparently.
By trying to be clever by half, Nadler essentially admitted that Democrats don’t have a case because they don’t know what ‘crimes’ the president committed.
If you’re going to charge him, don’t you have to know ‘what he knew and when?’
Freaking morons.
