Peak stupid: Dem rep claims ‘no embassy protests’ or ‘dead American contractors’ during Obama’s reign
It’s not a lie if you ‘believe’ you’re right…right?

(TNS) In their quest to deify Iranian terrorist killer of American troops Qassem Soleimani while tearing down President Trump and their country, Democrats are going into ‘peak stupid’ mode to make cheap political points with their deranged voting base.
Lying is second nature to them because lying is first nature as well. Enter one Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.)
In an interview with Fox News Wednesday, this clown tried to claim that protests against American embassies and dead U.S. contractors is a Trump administration phenomenon, and specifically, one that did not occur on god king Obama’s watch.
“The president took on former president Barack Obama in an interview, saying, ‘Knowing what we know today and knowing what had been going on, there was an opportunity before to take out Soleimani,’” host Sandra Smith said.
“Do you think there were any missed opportunities in the past that would have prevented Iran from getting to the point that it did?” she asked.
“I do not,” Khanna said.
“Because this was not just Barack Obama. The reporting I’ve seen said President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney also passed on the chance to take out Soleimani. And the reason they all passed is they didn’t want to escalate a war with Iran,” he added (cough, BS, cough)
The California Democrat then, of course, went on to tout the Iran ‘nuclear deal’ that enriched the Iranians and injecting new funding into their campaign of terrorism throughout the Middle East, which unquestionably financed the deaths of more Americans. He also tried to say that Obama’s tenure was marked by peace, which is complete and utter nonsense.
“I believe the President Obama had a strategy of the JCPOA that would prevent Iran from becoming nuclear,” Khanna said. “There weren’t these incidents during the Obama administration. We didn’t have protests against our embassies, the killing of American contractors. Americans were safe at that time.”
What an abject liar. We have a one-word response: “Benghazi.”
Not a full-fledged embassy, for sure, but the Libyan outpost was a diplomatic mission to be sure, with all the trappings and official representation of the U.S. Department of State.
And oh, by the way, three American contractors — Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods — were indeed killed there by terrorists. So, too, was a full-fledged American diplomat, Chris Stevens.
Also, The New York TImes reported that in 2011, more contractors than soldiers were killed in Afghanistan.
This garbage from Khanna is so monumentally false (and outrageous) we’ll be shaking our heads in disbelief for days.
