Feinstein Tries To Destroy Nunes FISA Memo And Now She’s Regretting Ever Doing So After Horowitz Speaks Out

Feinstein’s 2018 knock on ‘FISA-Nunes memo’ coming back to haunt like a boss after Horowitz report confirms pretty much all of it

Horowitz report essentially contained the very same allegations

(TNS) When Sen. Dianne Feinstein wasn’t too busy employing Chinese spies as drivers for two decades, she’s generally been working hard at destroying our republic.

Like most other Democrats, she’s spent her congressional career undermining constitutional principles like the Second Amendment and standing in the way of good governance, all while protecting the same deep state that is attempting to depose President Donald Trump.

You may recall something called the “FISA memo” — released in February 2018 by Rep. Devin Nunes when he was still chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and the panel was still serious about getting to the bottom of Spygate.

We noted:

…[A]s many suspected, the discredited and unverified “Trump dossier” was used not once but on three separate occasions to secure a FISA court surveillance warrant to allow the Obama administration to spy on Team Trump during his campaign.

In addition, Hillary Clinton, U.S. media outlets, and ranking officials within DOJ and FBI including former FBI Director James Comey, former deputy director Andrew McCabe, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein were all aware that the dossier was a political document, not a serious piece of intelligence work, the memo explains.

The memo pointed out that in December 2017, then-FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information.”

The memo also states that DOJ and FBI officials used media reporting on the Trump-Russia collusion allegations to bolster their case for a FISA court warrant. That is a substantial revelation because the memo also talks about how the dossier’s creator, former British spy Christopher Steele — who was commissioned by Fusion GPS to assemble the dossier — briefed a number of media outlets on its contents over the summer of 2016, as Trump gained steam.

“The ‘dossier’ compiled by Christopher Steele (Steele dossier) on behalf of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Hillary Clinton campaign formed an essential part of the Carter Page FISA application,” the memo states, referencing a surveillance warrant obtained to spy on a former Trump campaign official.

Fox News:

The memo also shows that Steele was eventually cut off from the FBI for being chatty with the media. It says he was terminated in October 2016 as an FBI source “for what the FBI defines as the most serious of violations—an unauthorized disclosure to the media of his relationship with the FBI.”

The report filed by DoJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Monday essentially contained these very same allegations that Nunes and Intelligence Committee Republicans discovered and released nearly two years ago.

Then-ranking member of the Intelligence Committee and now it’s chairman, Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) released a ‘counter-memo’ which Feinstein praised.

Except that the Nunes memo wasn’t wrong. Just ask Horowitz…

Nice try dirtbag.
