Flashback 2.0: Hillary endorsed political dirt from foreign sources in 2017 and Adam Schiff DENOUNCED it

With all the phony outrage now taking place within the garbage ‘mainstream media,’ the Democratic Party, and far too many Republicans regarding POTUS Donald Trump’s comments to Clinton water boy George Stephanopoulos earlier this week — that he would consider “looking at” any political opposition ‘dirt’ on an opponent that came from a foreign source — it became necessary to dig through our archives and those of responsible media sources to point out just how ridiculously hypocritical the outrage really is.
Flashback No. 1: That time when Hillary Clinton, shortly after she lost to Trump, told The Daily Show on Comedy Central that, eh, you know, getting political dirt from foreign sources is so what happens, “you know,” and anyway, what’s the big deal?
As reported by Rowan Scarborough at The Washington Times, Daily Show host Trevor Noah actually brought up the “Steele Dossier” — which cited sources that had links to the Kremlin — as it was just becoming known to Americans post-election.
“It’s part of what happens in a campaign where you get information that may or may not be useful and you try to make sure anything you put out in public arena is accurate,” she said. “So this thing didn’t come out until after the election and it’s still being evaluated.”
“When Trump got the nomination of the Republican Party, the people doing [the dossier research] came to my campaign lawyer, and said, would you like us to continue it,” she said. “He said yes. He is an experienced lawyer. He knows what the law is. He knows what opposition research is.”
Flashback No. 2: In July 2017, just a few short months after POTUS Trump was inaugurated and special counsel Robert Mueller had been appointed and the second phase of “Spygate” — the operation to depose the president — had begun, then-House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) actually said it was “inappropriate” for Clinton’s campaign to have received foreign political dirt.

In an interview with ABC‘s “This Week,” Schiff took a shot at Hillary Clinton’s campaign when he said it wasn’t “appropriate” for operatives to have sought ‘dirt’ on then-GOP nominee Donald J. Trump using Ukrainian government sources.
“It wouldn’t be appropriate for the Democrats to get help from the Ukrainian government,” Schiff, whose committee is investigating Russian election meddling, said. “It would be problematic to get any kind of support from a foreign government.”

The White House and Trump allies in recent days have pointed to a reported meeting last year between a Democratic National Committee consultant and officials at the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington. They spoke amid recent revelations about Trump campaign officials accepting a meeting in June 2016 with a Russian lawyer, on the possibility of potentially damaging information on Clinton.
“If you are looking for an example of a campaign coordinating with a foreign country or a foreign source, look no further than the DNC, which actually coordinated opposition research with the Ukrainian Embassy,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Monday. “This is not an accusation. That is an on-the-record action that they took.”
The DNC would have, of course, been helping Clinton.
Sanders was referring to a meeting that Politico first reported in January. The report cited a meeting between Ukrainian government officials who allegedly tried to help Clinton undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office and shared research and damaging information on Trump and his advisers with Clinton allies.
The Politico investigation exposed that a Ukrainian-American DNC operative — Alexandra Chalupa, who worked in the Clinton White House — met with officials in the Ukrainian Embassy to expose ties between Trump’s then-top campaign official Paul Manafort and Russia.
Now, suddenly, because President Trump said he would ‘consider’ looking at foreign political dirt, our republic is about to come to an end.
Mind you, the president has not actually done so — and even Mueller said the president’s campaign had ‘multiple’ opportunities.
But Clinton actually did do it.
And Schiff chastised her for it.
My, how things change in just a few short years.
