Pencil Neck Adam Schiff Has An Embarrassing Meltdown After Trump Orders Declassification, Schiff Accuses President Trump of a Cover-up

It’s Our Opinion| Only in the political world of Washington D.C. could the release of more information be labeled a cover-up.  But, that’s exactly what Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has accused President Trump of doing.

Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, made the allegations of a cover-up after the president empowered Attorney General William Barr to release an unprecedented amount of previously classified information.

Shortly after the president’s declassification announcement, Schiff responded with a tweet of his own:

“While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies. The coverup has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American.”

Remember that Rep. Mark Meadows informed us President Trump has never seen the documents or the information contained in them.  This is the way the Office of the President has been set up.

The president is deliberately barred from knowing the content of the materials he’s ordering declassified before they are released..

The president must trust his advisors to inform him of the relative importance contained within each document he’s ordered declassified.  The president then assumes all legal and political risks that might result.

This is meant to protect the president from obviously inherent conflict of interest charges.

That means that Schiff likely knows more about what’s in the documents that are awaiting declassification than President Trump does.

In any event, President Trump is releasing information, not endeavoring to hide information behind classification.

Charges of a cover-up are absurd on their face.

It is an almost certainty that Robert Mueller knew when he accepted the position of special counsel that there wasn’t any evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

If not, he knew shortly after being briefed by the FBI agents who had been assigned to his team.  Remember, these were the same agents who had worked the case while working for the FBI.

Former Chief of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Section Peter Strzok texted as much to former FBI attorney Lisa Page upon being asked by the special counsel to join his team.  That was only two days after Mueller was appointed.

Regardless, Mueller demanded massive amounts of documents and the president complied, supplying an estimated 1.4 million documents to the special counsel.

President Trump even ignored attorney-client privilege and made his White House attorney available for more that 30 hours of questioning.

No Adam, the president didn’t obstruct Mueller’s investigation in the least.  Not even when Mueller spent 22 months attempting to goad him into doing so.

Schiff made the mistake of trying to save high-ranking members of the Obama administration, some within the White House, perhaps even President Obama, from having their illegal surveillance activities, targeting political enemies, exposed.

Whether Schiff used his position in the powerful House Intelligence Committee to commit sedition or treason is up to others to decide.

What is clear, Rep. Schiff did not use his position to defend the American people from its government, as the Framers intended, and the voters elected him to do.

Now it’s time to pay the piper.
