As DHS releases hundreds of illegals into U.S. daily, it’s become obvious Trump must take drastic measures
As Democrats and activist federal judges continue to block POTUS Donald Trump from building new border walls and other security measures along the U.S.-Mexico border, the Department of Homeland Security has been forced to release hundreds of illegal immigrants into the country daily because officials have no other choice.
And there appears to be, at this point, no end in sight.
According to Breitbart News, DHS officials have released about 7,000 illegals over the past five days, for an average of about 1,400 per day:
The catch and release process often entails federal immigration officials busing border crossers into nearby border cities and dropping them off with the promise that they will show up for their immigration and asylum hearings, sometimes years later. The overwhelming majority of border crossers and illegal aliens are never deported from the country once they are released into the U.S. …
Over the past five days, El Paso, Texas, has had to absorb 2,800 of the 7,000 border crossers and illegal aliens released into the country. Likewise, San Antonio, Texas, has had to take about 2,200, while about 1,200 were dropped off in Phoenix, Arizona, and 800 in San Diego, California.
POTUS Trump has tried just about everything he can, legally: He has issued executive orders, directed thousands of U.S. military personnel to the border to assist federal agents, taken immigration and sanctuary city cases to court, and pressured Mexico and the Central American countries diplomatically.
There isn’t anything left to do that he hasn’t done — except two things:
— Close the border: The president has threatened to do this on a number of occasions, which, if you’ve noticed, is his style; he will threaten action several times in order to give opposing forces an opportunity to change their behavior or implement fixes before he acts. That shows both restraint and resolve.
Will he actually close the border, however? Doing so would have a profoundly negative impact on the economy and at a time when the president is gearing up for reelection. Plus, closing the border, while popular with his base, would likely be viewed as too extreme by fence-sitting voters who otherwise would have cast a ballot for him.
And there is always the fact that his action will be challenged in court.
— Defy federal courts: Trump’s favorite president, Andrew Jackson, once advocated defying a Supreme Court decision he disagreed with by imploring then-Chief Justice John Marshall to find a way to ‘enforce’ the order he issued (see our special video report on this).
But just because the president would order a federal court defied doesn’t mean that Trump’s instructions would be carried out. As we’ve seen, he has Deep State enemies throughout the government who are just waiting for him to do something like this to give them a real excuse to depose him. The House would definitely impeach, and there are probably enough Republicans in the Senate who would be repulsed by the president’s defiance to convict him.
And that would be that: Trump’s presidency would be over and our nation would suffer because of it.
The only way POTUS could come out ahead is if enough American citizens rose up to defend him — and our country — which would inevitably pit them against federal agents and elements of our military. What happens next would be devastating for our country: Civil unrest/war, destruction, chaos, death.
So what is the answer? Elections? Appoint more constitutional judges? Secession? A combination of all of those things?
Whatever it is, something needs to change. We cannot continue to allow our country’s borders to be violated at will. And we can’t continue allowing a political party to block any and all attempts to fix legal loopholes or denigrate our border security.
All of which means Trump will have to find some way around these roadblocks in order to fulfill his commitment to protecting and defending the country. And at least a sizeable plurality of Americans will have to make the commitment to stand with him.
Because that’s what it’s going to take. This issue is not going to ‘fix’ itself through the normal governing processed; the Democrats won’t allow it.
