ICE Working Super Bowl Duty Arrests Anti-Trump Rapper 21 Savage For Deportation

By Carmine Sabia at The Federalist Papers

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is working Super Bowl weekend in Atlanta, the site of the big game.

And they made their presence known by arresting a world famous rapper, 21 Savage.

ICE is now saying that it could deport the rapper back to the U.K. as he is in the United States on an expired visa, TMZ reported.

“We are working diligently to got Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding.,” his attorney Dina LaPolt told TMZ.

“Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in the country — especially in Atlanta, Georgia and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged mothers and youths in financial literacy.”

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested unlawfully present United Kingdom national Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA ‘21 Savage’ during a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners early Sunday in metro Atlanta,” ICE spokesman Bryan Cox said.

WBS TV reported on more of the story, including the fact that it was not well known that he was from the U.K.

Mr. Abraham-Joseph initially entered the U.S. legally in July 2005, but subsequently failed to depart under the terms of his nonimmigrant visa and he became unlawfully present in the U.S. when his visa expired in July 2006. In addition to being in violation of federal immigration law, Mr. Abraham-Joseph was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia.

Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions.”

With his wealth at stake you would think he would be on top of things like his visa.

But it could be tough to keep track when you are busy partying like a rock star.

This will not improve 21 Savage’s view of President Donald trump who he went after in his rap “Nothing New,” The Source reported.

21 Savage has released a powerful visual for “Nothin New,” off his Issa Album. The clip opens with a press conference footage of athletes Colin Kaepernick and LeBron James speaking out against Donald Trump, then goes on to address racism, police brutality and the struggles of a black family in America.

In April 2016 the rapper wrote on his Facebook Page “F**k Trump.”

The rapper has claimed that he was a gangster from Atlanta but his entire person has now been proven to be a lie.

Twitter was abuzz at the news of the rapper’s arrest and possible deportation.
