Robert Crooks is up before sunrise on a hill he calls “Patriot Point,” walkie-talkie in hand and loaded semiautomatic handgun holstered on his right hip.
To protect himself, he wears a vest padded with National Geographic magazines — including one celebrating great white sharks. Directly in front of him is a border wall made of steel landing mats left over from the Vietnam War. Just a few hundred feet from the Mexican border, Crooks scans the landscape for any sign of an immigrant trying to cross into the United States, LA Times reports.
Crooks is a Las Vegas resident and he also heads the Mountain Militiamen, as they call themselves, they believe that these caravan’s are illegals that are an invasion to our southern borders and that it is their duty to secure the borders.

They are fully aware of the United States Military presence at the border, they are also fully aware that the military is not allowed to carry out any Law Enforcement duties, detainment’s as well as arming themselves for everyday carry. In other words, it takes the teeth out of our sheepdogs and the illega’s know it!
Crooks, a 68-year-old retired commercial fisherman wearing a camouflage Trump hat, a chest plate and sidearm, stands watch everyday.
“This is a national emergency, I understand the circumstances that drive people to flee their country, but as the President of the United States, Trump has every right to protect his borders. Just as we should be protecting ours.” ~ Robert Crooks
President Trump is using the authority granted to him by the Immigration and Nationality Act to manage and protect the integrity of our immigration system and our national sovereignty.
- Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act states plainly: “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.”
- Section 215(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act similarly states: “Unless otherwise ordered by the President, it shall be unlawful for any alien to depart from or enter or attempt to depart from or enter the United States except under such reasonable rules, regulations, and orders, and subject to such limitations and exceptions as the President may prescribe.” Homeland Security
Should more people unite and patrol our southern borders?
