Two officers shot in Prince George’s County, Md., were among a group of nine executing a search warrant, authorities say. (Facebook)
Two police officers were shot late Wednesday evening while serving a search warrant at an apartment complex in Maryland, FOX NEWS reports
Both officers were airlifted to a nearby trauma center but suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the Baltimore Sun reported.
Both officers were flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma. Prelim: We understand they are in stable condition with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. More to follow.

According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, the officers were shot in the 2700 block of Lorring Drive in the District Heights neighborhood near the Washington border.
Both were flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Prince George’s County police spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan said one officer is in serious condition.
A medic was a part of the team serving the warrant and treated the wounded officers. She said the suspect then surrendered to authorities. Donelan said more information will be released . The Baltimore Sun
A squad of 9 officer’s were serving a warrant and they knocked and announced themselves, but nobody responded and nobody came to the door. At that point the squad was left with no choice but to do a forced entry and as soon as they cleared the door, the suspect opened up on the squad with a shotgun.
Two officer’s were hit, one in the arm, and the other in the upper shoulder, another officer fired at the suspect but did not hit the suspect.
The suspect then surrendered to the Police Department and another individual was in the apartment and they immediately gave themselves up to the entry team.
Since the start of 2018, at least 64 law enforcement officers across the U.S. have died while on duty — with 36 of those deaths caused by gunfire.
