The leader of Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah boasted Thursday the group now possesses “highly accurate” missiles despite Israeli attempts to prevent it from acquiring such weapons.
Hassan Nasrallah didn’t offer specifics on the weapons in his traditional televised speech commemorating Ashoura, a top religious holy day for Shiite Muslims. He told supporters they need to be confident in Hezbollah’s capabilities and that the regional balance of power has changed. ABC Report
“I tell (Israel) no matter what it did to cut the route, it is over. It has already been achieved. Hezbollah “now possesses precision missiles and non-precision and weapons capabilities. If Israel imposes a war on Lebanon, Israel will face a destiny and reality it didn’t expect any day. Hezbollah fighters will continue to be deployed in Syria.”
Nasrallah also urged supporters to rally behind Iran, saying it’s facing hard times as more U.S. sanctions take effect in November.
SOHR reported that the terrorist groups of Horas al-Din, Ansar al-Tohid, Ansar al-Din, Ansar Allah, Tajamo al-Forqan, Jund al-Aqsa and more groups affiliated to Tahrir al-Sham declared their opposition to the Turkish-Russian agreement on Idlib.
It further said that the opposing terrorist groups have rejected to retreat from contact lines with the Syrian army from Jisr al-Shughour to Eastern Idlib and underlined that they will counter any side that would try to disarm them or force them to retreat.
The battle over Idlib is masked in reports that Russia and Turkey agreed to a new demilitarized zone that will go into place in October, what they did not cover is that the “rebels” refuse to recognize the agreement nor will they leave the area.
