Chris “Badger” Thomas RIGHT WING TRIBUNE–
The Arabic-language Moraseloun news website reported that the fighter jets conducted a heavy bombing on terrorists’ positions in a large region stretching from Southern Idlib to the al-Ghaab Plain in an introduction to the upcoming ground assault.
In the meantime, the warplanes stuck terrorists’ strongholds in Jisr al-Shughour, Jabal al-Zawiyeh, Marowaj, al-Shaqar, Harash Basnaqoul, Anab, al-Janoudiyeh, Qani, al-Sarmaniyeh and Zeizoun, inflicting major casualties on the terrorists, Syrian FARS News reports.
At the same time, Syrian fighter jets destroyed a large number of vehicles of terrorists, as well as killed and wounded a number of militants in the villages and towns of al-Taman’a, Kafr Ain, Khan Sheikhoun, Abdin, Kfromeh, and Kafr Sajna, located in the southern part of Idlib.
On Wednesday, several airstrikes were also carried out on positions of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) terrorist group in al-Lataminah, Sakik, Taybat al-Imam, al-Sayyad, Jeni al-Albawi, northern al-Ma’an, and north of Kafar Zita, located in the northern parts of Hama. As a result, bases and military hardware of terrorists were destroyed, while tens of militants, including their commanders, were killed.
Strongholds of the Jaish al-Izzah and Jabhat Fateh al-Sham terrorist groups, stationed in northern Halfaya, al-Zalaqiyat, Ma’arkaba, and Zor Abuzaid in northern Hama were also pounded by Syrian warplanes. Dozens of militants were killed and their military vehicles were destroyed during the airstrikes.
“We know that Syria’s armed forces are preparing to resolve this problem,” he said, without commenting on a timeframe for the plan.
Peskov’s comments came as activists in Idlib reported the death of two civilians from a series of air strikes in and around the village of Jisr al-Shughour on the western edge of the province. At least 23 raids have been seen in the area on Tuesday morning, Al Jazeera’s Stefanie Dekker said, reporting from Antakya in neighbouring Turkey. AlJazeera
President Bashar al-Assad of Syria must not recklessly attack Idlib Province. The Russians and Iranians would be making a grave humanitarian mistake to take part in this potential human tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of people could be killed. Don’t let that happen!

Now the world will wait and watch as the assault on Idlib begins and already innocent lives have been lost, including women and children in the region.
