TAOS, N.M. ~ A 13-year-old boy who was part of group taken into custody at a squalid New Mexico compound last month has told FBI agents his mother’s boyfriend was training him to conduct “jihad” against non-believers, according to federal court documents.
The boy was among 11 children and five adults living at the compound in Taos County when it was raided on Aug. 3 by local sheriff’s deputies who discovered a cache of firearms and the children living without food or clean water. The dead body of a three-year-old boy was found buried at the site later, Reuters reported.
The boy revealed to FBI agents that he along with the other children at the compound were being trained in military tactics, firearms as well as hand-to-hand combat all in the name of Jihad to kill non-believers.
The firearms training they were getting was everything from how to shoot, how to maintain their firearms, how to unjam their firearms, rapid reloading of magazines and transitioning targets to maximize kills.
The teenager also explained to the FBI agents that the adults at the compound desires to gather an army together to carry out Jihad all over the United States and that the adults said they were part of Islam camps that are all over the United States, training to carry out Jihad.
