Legendary Hall Of Famer DEAD

We are saddened to learn that WWE legend “Luscious” Johnny Valiant passed away after he was hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street in a Pennsylvania town.

Valiant, whose real name is Tommy Sullivan, was 71 years old.

According to local TV station WPXI, Valiant was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead not long after the incident occurred on the busy street in Ross Township. He was later identified as the wrestling Hall of Famer.

The New York Post reports that Valiant made a name for himself on the WWE circuit in the 1970s when he won two World Tag Team Championships, once in 1974 with story line brother Jimmy Valiant and the second in 1979 with brother Jerry.

After retiring from competition, Valiant managed Hulk Hogan in the American Wrestling Association before returning to the WWE, which was known then as the WWF, to manage Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine.

Valiant was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996.

“The driver of the truck stayed here on the scene. There’s no indication that this was anything other than a terrible accident at this point, but we’re still investigating,” said Det. Brian Kohlhepp.

Rest in peace brother.

God Bless.
