A man and a woman, who were believed to be illegal aliens, died after their vehicle crashed after they fled from federal immigration officials (ICE) in California, according to police officials.
The names of the deceased are Santo Hilario Garcia 35, and Marcelina Garcia Profecto 33.
At about 6:54 AM, March 13 2018, patrol officers with the Delano Police Department were dispatched to the 3000 Block of West Cecil Avenue, regarding a vehicle collision.
Upon the officer’s arrival, they found a SUV on its roof, with two occupants inside. Based on the severity of the collision, the Delano Police Department Traffic Division was summoned to take over the investigation.
Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling westbound on Cecil Avenue at a high rate of speed. The driver then drove onto the dirt shoulder, still traveling at a high rate of speed, when control of the vehicle was lost. The vehicle overturned and came to rest after striking a power pole. The two occupants, a male and female from Delano, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
It was determined that prior to this collision, federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had attempted to stop this vehicle by activating their emergency lights. The driver initially pulled over, but fled after the agents exited their vehicle. A very short time later, the vehicle lost control and collided with the power pole.
The Delano Police Department and its Traffic Division are conducting the collision investigation and will not have any further comment at this time. No requests for in-camera interviews will be granted. All requests for information are to be forwarded to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Community Relations office in San Francisco @ (415) 844-5866 or by emailing Lori.email@example.com
Well, that sucks that 2 illegal aliens died. They should have stayed in Mexico.
Here’s a little information you might find interesting about Delano Police Department in California:
I was contacted tonight by a concerned citizen who asked me if the rumors were true about the Delano Police Department assisting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agents in their operations occurring across the State of California. It was also rumored that ICE Agents are utilizing Delano Police Department police vehicles and clad in Delano police officer uniforms. I can assure the citizens of Delano that our Department and its police officers are NOT assisting ICE in their operations. I can also assure the citizens of Delano that ICE Agents are NOT utilizing Delano police vehicles nor our police uniforms. Likewise, our police officers are NOT targeting and arresting individuals on behalf of ICE.
I want to reassure the community of Delano that we will continue to serve our City and all of you, without regard to your immigration status or citizenship. Our police officers do not stop, detain or arrest anyone based on their immigration or citizenship status.
We encourage all people who may be victims of crimes or witnesses to crime, to continue to come forward and assist the Delano Police Department, without fear that our officers will try and determine anyone’s “status”. We do NOT arrest based on one’s immigration status.
It is the policy of our Department to provide the highest quality of service, with emphasis on integrity, fairness, dignity and respect, to all members of our community, regardless of their status.
Interim Chief of Police
So we know where they stand.
Well, you won’t see me visiting Delano ever.
Those of you that read our publications are well aware that we are pro LEO. WE BACK THE BLUE.
But any and every Law Enforcement Officer that refuses to enforce our laws and refuse to work with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) should step down and move to Mexico.
ROUND THEM UP AND MOVE THEM OUT! BUILD THE WALL AND SECURE THE BORDER.
