I have only one objection to shutting the government down- elections would be suspended. That’s a scary thought considering what is currently sitting in the White House. The Kenyan.
I do see and support Senator Ted Cruz’s point and support the fact we should take any measure to defund such an inhumane program. Why would I say that? Let me break it down to the supporters of the killing machine known as Planned Parenthood.
We see Planned Parent hood laughing and joking about how to crush a baby’s head in order to save the baby parts, experimenting and developing procedures in order to be more efficient and profitable. Citizens are outraged and don’t want their tax money going to that horrific organization.
The vast majority of abortions are performed on babies that look just like you when you were born and at 18 days they have a heartbeat. They extract a 21 week old baby fully formed and cut its spinal cord. Perfecting the crushing of unborn baby heads so as not damage the internal organs that are developing in the baby. How can anyone not see this is just wrong?
Well one group (Democrats) definitely don’t see anything wrong obviously as you will see in the results from a recent vote in the Senate.
Life News reports:
Senate Democrats defeated an effort to revoke taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business by filibustering the bill and preventing a vote on it. Republicans were unable to secure the 60 voted needed to invoke cloture and stop debate on the bill, allowing an up or down vote. The Senate voted 53-46 on the cloture motion — failing to get the 60 votes needed to stop the Democratic filibuster against the de-funding measure.
Now, some Republicans are saying the House and Senate should look at the possibility of shutting down the federal government in order to de-fund Planned Parenthood. But citing how President Barack Obama would merely veto a federal spending bill with Planned Parenthood de-funding language attached and saying that de-funding the government might hurt Republican election efforts next year in a crucial race against Hillary Clinton, other Republicans say that’s not a good idea.
Senator Ted Cruz is one of the government shutdown proponents.“I believe we should use every and any procedural tool available to defund Planned Parenthood,” he says.
Asked if it would be worth shutting down the government over Planned Parenthood’s $528 million a year in federal funding, Cruz shifted the focus to Democrats.“I think that is an excellent question for you to ask every Democrat, if they’re willing to try to shut down the government in order to force continued taxpayer funding for an organization that has now been caught on film apparently repeatedly admitting to multiple felonies in buying and selling body parts in direct contravention of federal criminal law,” Cruz said.
It’s not rocket science once you think about it. Why should we, as tax payers, have the extra burden of funding such a sickening program in the first place? We are a country $18 trillion in debt. If tax dollars aren’t put into places to make a real difference you will soon see an already failing economy crash. In my eye’s, this is one less burden that should be dismantled, abolished and become just a horrific memory.
